Missionary pilots work all over the world to serve fellow volunteers by bringing needed supplies and transporting people for life saving medical treatment. They don’t assist just one person, one village, or one church – they have the capacity to help hundreds of people in any given area. In many parts of the world, traveling isn’t simple or easy, some places require lengthy treacherous hikes or long journeys using public transportation.

In Papua New Guinea, a rigorous 2 day hike is only an 8 minute flight.
A 2 day non-stop bus ride in Kenya is about a 40 minute flight.
In the Amazon, a 4 day hike through the jungle is a 30 minute flight

Whether it’s local churches, humanitarian workers, volunteers or other missionaries – pilots like Bruce, save people hundreds of days and thousands of hours they would normally spend just traveling. Often, what would be a simple trip to target for most of us, is actually a multi day journey by foot or by bus, just for supplies. What would be a quick trip to the doctors office for us, is often times a journey too far or too hazardous to even attempt.

Bruce is currently partnered with I-TEC, a Christian organization which aims to empower indigenous people by way of medical and dental trainings.

The I-FLY program (which is one sector of the I-TEC organization) provides aviation mechanic trainings to missionary pilots in order to fulfill requirements for international volunteers.

Currently, Bruce is finishing his required internship hours with the I-FLY program and is expected to be completed early 2020.
